How to read the range
The ±20% band absorbs no-shows, staff comps, holiday weeks, and the occasional canceled session. Plan against the top of the band for tight operations; against the bottom for a first season.

How to read the numbers

The revenue range is ±20% around a midpoint, that band absorbs the real-world drag your program will hit: no-shows, comps for staff and pros, holiday weeks with soft turnout, and the occasional canceled session. If your operation runs tight, plan against the top of the band; if it's your first season, plan against the bottom.

Revenue per court is where the math changes minds

Court count is where most facilities under-price their program. Six courts booked for open play at $12/hour is one revenue model; six courts generating $2,500/month per court in structured leagues is a different one entirely. Same square footage, different program. Use the annual per-court number in conversations about court allocation and prime-time pricing.

What's in the paid product that isn't here

  • Actually running the leagues this model describes, signups, screening, scheduling, scoring, standings.
  • DUPR-synced ratings on every player at every skill-band league.
  • Printable branded scoresheets and public court boards.

Common mistakes

  • Overestimating weeks per year. 48 is aggressive; 40 is realistic for most facilities with a summer dip.
  • Averaging player counts across weak and strong leagues. Model your two or three best leagues separately.
  • Forgetting that a filled league needs a screened roster. Under-screened leagues churn faster than the math predicts.
