Follow PicklPass's evolution from a club screening tool to a full-featured league operations platform.
Product Evolution
PicklPass product development first began in Late Summer/Early Fall 2024, with users testing live products throughout the year. The platform officially launched on April 5, 2025 as a club management and DUPR screening tool. Over the following months, it expanded into session execution, scoring, and standings, then grew to support Ladder, Round Robin, Pod, MLP, and Trios league formats. In 2026, the platform added public sharing, print tools, analytics dashboards, staff roles, billing infrastructure, Open Play, player score submission, and a free player portal with a "Plays At" multi-club profile, earned status tiers, and rich personal stats. Today, PicklPass is a complete league operations platform, for clubs and for the players who play at them.
Paper-to-Screen Scoring + Operations Control Tower
Exact-Sheet QR Scoring
Printed scoresheets now connect back to the exact Ladder round, Round Robin court, Pod court, Mini-Tournament stage, MLP or Trios match, or Open Play round and court. The QR is a locator, never an authorization token.
Open Play Format Parity
All eight Open Play templates now print QR-connected score blocks, including grouped Ladder games, MLP matchups and Dreambreakers, and blank future sheets for dynamic KOTC, Up/Down River, and Ladder rounds.
Handwritten Photo Review · Beta
Staff can photograph a completed sheet, review every proposed row, correct or exclude uncertain scores, and confirm the batch atomically. A live-score change stops stale confirmation instead of overwriting newer work.
Club Operations
Registration, waitlists, Stripe checkout, pay-at-the-door collection, substitute workflows, Club Texting, Retention Insights, and the Autopilot operations control tower are now represented accurately across the product. Autopilot remains a Private Beta and Retention Insights is generally available.

Plays At. One Profile, Every Club
Players get one profile that follows them across every club they play at. Standings, matches, and DUPR rating travel with them.
Earned Status Tiers
Players progress through Rookie → Regular → Veteran → Ace → Legend → Hall of Fame as they play. Light gamification, big retention.
Rich Personal Stats
Win rate, last-10 form, top partner and opponent, points won, and rating half-life, the player's game, by the numbers.

Player Score Submission (All Formats)
Submit From The Portal
Players submit match scores from their phone across all five competitive league formats: Ladder, Round Robin, Pod, MLP, and Trios.
Admin Review Queue
A unified pending-scores queue lets staff review and post submitted scores in one place. Standings update instantly when accepted.

Trios Leagues
New 3-Player Team Format
Trios is a fully-supported league format. Every match cycles through P1+P2, P1+P3, and P2+P3 pairings so every teammate gets reps with every other teammate.

Run 2M+1F, 2F+1M, 3M, 3F, or open trios, and mix configs across the same league.
Premade Schedule Import & Playoffs
CSV/paste matchup importer with validation, plus round-by-round championship brackets including play-in formats for 5/6/7-team brackets.

Front-Desk QR Check-in (retired)
Session QR Codes
Sessions could render a front-desk QR code. Players scanned it and self-linked their profile in seconds, with no manual roster entry.
Faster Walk-Ins
Drop-in and Open Play check-in moved from a clipboard to a phone tap, with profile claiming baked in for new players.

- Since retired: claim codes and front-desk check-in QR codes are no longer part of PicklPass. Players now join by creating a free account and connecting their DUPR, and club invites link them to rosters automatically.

Open Play Expansion
New session templates, DUPR integration, scoring modes, time estimators, and player check-in tooling make drop-in play easier to run.
Card-Free Free Trials
Trials now expire automatically with T-3 and T-1 day reminder emails, plus a clean 'trial ended' experience instead of stale access.
Billing Invoices
Club admins can now view recent Stripe invoices directly from the billing page.
Branded Gradient Accent
A brand gradient stripe now appears below the header on every authenticated and public page for visual consistency.
